LIPO-SCULPTURE

This procedure is used to remove fatty deposits in order to reshape your body and is not the treatment of obesity. Although diets and exercise help you lose weight often stubborn areas of unwanted fat remain, especially around the abdomen, thighs and hips. Also you may inherit a body shape that doesn't satisfy you. Maybe, although on the whole you have a good figure you have fat deposits on your hips that give you a hippy pear shape. Liposuction targets this stubborn area of fat.
To check whether this procedure is suitable for you, your BMI (body mass index) will be assessed. This is a measurement of your total fat content in relation to your size, and gives a base line for the Surgeon to use to determine your suitability.
Liposuction can be carried out to most areas of the body.
- In women, commonly the abdomen, hips, buttocks, inner and outer thighs, knees and double chin.
- In men, the abdomen, flanks ('love handles'), chest (male breast) and double chin.
